Striped Dress: The Update Your Spring and Summer Look Needs (part 2)
If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I have a thing for stripes. So, it’s only fitting that the second item I am adding to my spring and summer wardrobe is this stripe dress from Stacked.I strongly believe everyone should have at least one or two (…or twenty) striped items in their closet.
As a teacher, I have lots of striped button-ups and striped pencil skirts; cliche, I know, but they do look really cute paired together and it makes for the quintessential teacher wardrobe. Also, when you teach Kindergarten, you are constantly squatting, bending over, sitting on the rug, so you need attire suitable to those needs. As much as I love my work wardrobe, I like to pack it up at the end of the school year and update my closet with pieces I normally reserve for the weekend. With summer break only two weeks away, I was ready for a cute, striped dress that I could wear outside the classroom. I think this Bishop + Young dress is the perfect addition to a spring and summer wardrobe. The navy and white stripes give it a beachy, nautical feel and the cut of this dress is nice and flowy, so it won't cling to you when you're a *little* sweaty on those hot summer days. You can easily dress it up for a date night by throwing on a pair of nude or light blue heels and layered necklaces or throw it on with a pair of sandals, tassel necklace, and a straw hat for a day at the beach. Added bonus: the vertical stripes and front pleat make for a super flattering look. I will definitely have this dress on repeat all summer long! So, what are you waiting for? Stacked is offering my readers 10% off their purchase! Head on over to stackedon.com, put this dress in your cart, and use the code WELCOME10 at checkout.Happy shopping loves!
