My Current Favorite Sweater
Have you noticed the best things tend to show up when you’re least expecting them? That's how I feel about this sweater. I recently ran into J.Crew to “quickly” return a few blouses, telling myself before-hand that I was not there to *ahem* shop. That I just needed to make a straight line to the register, make my return, and head straight to the exit. Truth be told, I have this talk with myself a lot. Very rarely does that work. Oh well!
Instead of heading straight to the register, I detoured over to the sales rack. Flipping through the thick cozy sweaters left over from winter, this v-neck boyfriend sweater stood out like a sore thumb. At first, I didn’t think much about it and continued on my journey down the rack. However, when I finished my quest to find the perfect sale item, I found myself coming back to the pale-blue oversized sweater. Something about it intrigued me and after some back and forth, I decided to try it on.
Now, let’s stop right here for a moment. A rule of thumb: if you’re thinking about trying something on, but not sure it’s right for you, TRY IT ON! Sometimes, you’ll be correct in your assumption, but more often than not, that piece of clothing will look AMAZING on you! I feel like my wardrobe really started coming to life when I started trying on pieces I never imagined I would wear. So, what do you have to lose? That’s what dressing rooms are for; trying every piece of clothing the store offers (and maybe a bit of dancing around in front of the mirror in said clothes)!
Needless to say, I put the sweater on, thinking about the endless outfit possibilities, and immediately fell in love. Which is why I now wear it at least once a week!

Shoes are M. Gemi, but sold out. However, the Everlane loafers pictured above are a close fit and I love their shoes!
